As your reading this garments for an exciting exhibition are been packed, preserved and shipped to Adelaide from Europe. A detailed exhibition of fashion garments will showcase masterpieces from the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Which will run from 25 th October -2014 to15 February 2015 a total of 110 days in a special extended season. This will be an exclusive Australian exhibition to be held only at the Art Gallery of South Australia. 100 emblematic garments sourced exclusively for the Adelaide, S.A public Australians and international guests alike.
The exhibition will feature the best of Parisian fashion from the last 60 years, beginning from 1947 - when Christian Dior designed the new look A-line series were all the dresses had names that started with A. The garment that will feature at the beginning of the exhibition will be the Adelaide dress ending with a garment from a designer that embodies this moment in time.

The exhibtion will focus on both the serious side of fashion with couture skills on display from some of the worlds most famous crafts persons to the fun side of dressing and style with celebrity worn iconic garments. The exhibition will take us through each decade of innovation, design, the women's body image and style through a chronological timeline. The overall space will reflect wit and style in terms of exhibition design. With 6 pieces behind glass and the rest open display each garment will be displayed to get the best viewing for texture and light and create a seamless palette.
