As your reading this garments for an exciting exhibition are been packed, preserved and shipped to Adelaide from Europe. A detailed exhibition of fashion garments will showcase masterpieces from the collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris. Which will run from 25 th October -2014 to15 February 2015 a total of 110 days in a special extended season. This will be an exclusive Australian exhibition to be held only at the Art Gallery of South Australia. 100 emblematic garments sourced exclusively for the Adelaide, S.A public Australians and international guests alike.

The exhibition will feature the best of Parisian fashion from the last 60 years, beginning from 1947 - when Christian Dior designed the new look A-line series were all the dresses had names that started with A. The garment that will feature at the beginning of the exhibition will be the Adelaide dress ending with a garment from a designer that embodies this moment in time.

The exhibtion will focus on both the serious side of fashion with couture skills on display from some of the worlds most famous crafts persons to the fun side of dressing and style with celebrity worn iconic garments. The exhibition will take us through each decade of innovation, design, the women's body image and style through a chronological timeline. The overall space will reflect wit and style in terms of exhibition design. With 6 pieces behind glass and the rest open display each garment will be displayed to get the best viewing for texture and light and create a seamless palette.

Along with the exhibition there will be a diverse program to suit everyone which will include talks from
Alison Kubler &  Mitchell Oakley Smith the Authors from the Art fashion in the 21st century book.
Fashion films including Valentino - The last emperor and Yves Saint Laurent, up late and departure events for exclusive viewing of the Fashion Icons exhibit.
Live discussions from Australian designers Toni Matceveski - Developing fashion business in Australia and also the likes of Kym Ellery and Carla Zampatti.

As well as a exhibition book and replacing the usual Summer gallery magazine a 60 page magazine dedicated to the Fashion Icons -the September issue.

It was definitely a premium runway with an all star line up which included the four Australian Fashion Labels, Finders Keepers, Keepsake, Jaggar and Cameo. With each collection having a standout aesthetic and music selection to match. The styling by Nicole Adolphe  the Creative Director of Cosmopolitan magazine was simple and flowed well which is especially important with a group of strong labels.

The participation in VAMFF obviously important in expanding the brand recognition for each individual label both locally and abroad. With an already cult like following for the labels worldwide.

With an new flagship store FASHION BNKR to be opened in Adelaide's Rundle Mall, Australian fashion labels first MBFWA collection show by Cameo titled Optics and a shoe line in development, things are certainly on the go.

Adelaide Fashion Festival 2013 official launch.

The doors of South Australia's Government House were opened to invited V.I.P guests, dignitaries and sponsors of the 2013 Adelaide Fashion Festival, presented by the City of Norwood and Payhnem & St Peters on the 11 th of October.
The importance of recognising the festivals role in promoting all things fashion in S.A from fashion designers, boutiques and industry professionals goes from strength to strength every year. Through a variety of events spaced over eight day.The fashion on display was a brief snapshot of what the fashion connoisseur can expect to see throughout the program. It was was fitting to have the high fashion set in against a homely but timeless backdrop.

Thank you for the generous hospitality by The Governor of South Australia, His excellency Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR and Mrs Scarce and festival organisers.
