One Night Stand boutique X Stephanie Chehade the label.

It was an affair to remember with One Night Stand Boutique and Adelaide fashion designer Stephanie Chehade collaborating at a sophisticated fashion launch. Showcasing both fashion hire business and Local fashion designers strengths.

Also known as ONS Boutique since 2012 the fashion business has offered the hire of high quality dresses from a range of Australian designers including Bec & Bridge, Nookie and Zimmerman. And have recently added fashion accessories and shoes to complete the styling of the dress.

Natalia Taylor  the founder of ONS says, “We understand that women are unlikely to wear the same outfit more than once, particularly since the increase in social media captures. We continue to provide a service that enables women to wear a beautiful dress once but at a fraction of the retail price, and without buyer’s remorse,”
Another local business that benefits from ONS boutique is Karl Chehade Dry Cleaning; using the environmentally friendly dry cleaning service is fitting with the nature of the boutique's emphasis on recycling fashion garments.

S.A Designer Stephanie Chehade showcased her sophisticated styles alongside ONS boutique range. Since graduating with the Advanced Diploma in Applied Fashion Design and Technology from TAFE SA in 2011 she created the  label starting in 2014.

Her collection showcased both white on white Resort Wear and High Summer garments. The High Summer collection showed a refined range of neutral tones and play on textures that reflected her interpretation and style of a Moroccan Summer.

The event featured models by Finesse models Australia, Filip Odzak on the decks and Kate Collins as emcee. With special thanks to Maree and the Girl about town PR team for another high quality fashion event supporting the local fashion industry.

JAIMIE SORTINO. The Woodland lights.

Jaimie Sortino is recognised as one of Adelaide's most gifted couture designers. In 2010 was awarded the SA emerging designer award at the then named BMW Fashion festival which was a small stepping stone in his journey as a designer.

After years of refining his skills and passion he felt it was time to showcase a collection in a solo show titled The wood land lights. Inspired by nature, our country's amazing sky and a coldplay tune.
The collection reflected this in both his love of detail of the garments; play on volume, restraint and color pallette.

Similar to the box presentations at Mercedes- Benz Australian fashion week; Finesse models stood in a row on marble like blocks before peeling off to creating an perfect editorial scene on the grand stair case entrance. With a seamless soundtrack to match by Filip Odzak.

Jaimie will be a part of this years 2015 Adelaide festival in the Couture Culture show case on the 24th October. And no doubt  an ever developing designer contributing to South Australian fashion industry for years to come. The look book for the Wood land lights will be posted on his instagram in coming weeks. Thanks to Jaimie Sortino and Girl About Town PR for the invite and another standout industry event.

The Emerging talent of SA designers. #2014aff

The SA Designer showcase presented by Renniks hire went beyond showcasing South Australian designers to the general public and industry professionals. The event gave emerging designers a reality check in how hard it is to be a successful designer both locally, nationally and internationally. By having two parades Emerging and Established showcasing on the same runway. Showing how far any successful designer needs to develop both in creativity and business knowledge,

The backdrop for the SA designer showcase event has always been unique year after year and 2014 and the old Adelaide goal was no different. Though the lighting in the courtyard was blinding at times, like prisoners in a guards spotlight. It was the runway setting that made up for this showcasing Adelaide's best design talent.
