Once again taking a senior and creative role. As well as two successful interstate work related trips to both L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion festival attending Alex Perry SS11/12 and Business seminar and Rosemount Australian Fashion week Spring Summer 2011/12 as an industry delegate.

MISS UNKON Girls with Kaleidoscope Minds RAFW 2011/12

I was looking forward to previewing this seasons collection due to the fact last years was so creative on terms of fashion design and runway production. The SS2011/12 was no exception.

A much simpler backdrop apart from the two massive balloons that doubled as a projection surface which balanced out the softer colours and fabrics of Miss Unkon's Kaleidoscope minds collection. The central runway feature also added to the theme which helped make for a standout Finale in the way in which choreography was used.

Bowie. Paper Crane RAFW SS2011/12

From hair and makeup, set design through to creative choreography, each runway production as with the whole of RAFW is reliant on collaboration, management and professionalism across a number of disciplines. Of course without a strong collection and individualism in idea and creativity the end result would be lacking.

The following is an photo diary of backstage at Bowies Paper Crane SS2011/12 which officially closed RAFW in the Cargo Theatre. Special thanks to Bowie, Jess Woods, Filip Odzak-Fashion Squared2 & Bowie team.

Kirrily Johnston- Habitat. RAFW SS 2011/12

A very cosy setting for Kirrily Johnstons show entitled Habitat. Icebergs over looking Bondi Beach set the tone. The collection featured soft buttered leather and light flowing fabrics in fitting with the Kirrily Johnston dna. A natural colour pallette of tanned, bronze and creams made a very earthy feeling broken up by animal print swimwear.

Alex Perry - on repeat? RAFW SS 2011/12

Alex Perry having already shown at an exclusive public event for LMFF has decided to have an additional showing at RAFW.

A very upbeat and heavy soundtrack in true Alex Perry style. Favorite walkers include Vanessa Milde & MJ and the winner of the Finesse Models Colonades models search.

Progression of colour blocking through to jeweled evening wear. Showing more structured and tailored suiting than seen at LMFF. Along with the same runway configuration, the consensus was a scaled down version previously seen.
